You can prevent the blue screen error on your own. All you have to do is follow a few simple instructions.

The first thing you should do is to disable Auto-Pc restart. This will prevent the computer from rebooting every time the blue screen error is displayed. If your computer is still booting the operating system, you will have to change the settings so that it doesn’t.

Undo the last action which you did on the computer. If you are not sure what it was, you can restore the system settings to an earlier time. Simply go to start then type system restore. After you see the option, select it. Pick one of the restore points on the list and then follow the instructions given. The system will be restored and the problem will be resolved. If you still encounter the problem there are other measures that you can take.

If you cannot boot the operating system use a Windows 7 installation CD to run system restore. Place the CD in the optical drive and reboot the machine. Press any key to boot from CD. If your computer does not prompt booting from CD you will have to configure the settings. Follow the prompts on the screen. Choose the preferred language and preferences and then choose repair your computer and select system restore which is located in the system recovery options menu. Follow the prompts on the screen until it is restored.

If you have followed the steps above and the blue screen continues appearing you should reinstall the operating system. If this does not work one of your internal hardware devices may have a problem. It could be components such as the multimedia card or video card. The best thing that you can do in this situation is to take the machine to a repair shop where you will get professional assistance.
